United Airlines – Don’t break my guitar
Once a upon a time if you had a bad experience with a company, you would voice your anger to your family and friends and then they might tell a few more people and that was that. Today you have an audience of a few million at your disposal, all thanks to the Internet.
In 2008, Sons of Maxwell were making their way to Nebraska for a tour when Dave Carroll’s Taylor guitar was seen being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers. Later on when the $3500 guitar was inspected, it was severely damaged. United Airlines gave no compensation to Dave, so what did he do in his frustration? He promised to write 3 songs and make 3 accompanying videos for the whole world to see what United Airlines did!
One of those videos is on Youtube right now with a five star rating and 473,552 views as of this post (It’s also a pretty great song!). I wonder what that will cost United Airlines compared to the $3,500 they should have paid?
The game is most definetly changing.
