I have a few books on the subject and have tried to learn the famous scripting language a few times but never really “got it”. The main reason I think is because the code is so uninspiring and there used to be a big stigma around Javascript a few years back, probably still even today that just put me off.

I have known about JQuery, the Write less do more, Javascript library for quite some time now, but never really got stuck in and tried to learn it. I just purchased the ebook on line a few days ago and started yesterday. So glad I got it and dived in. The syntax is really easy to learn if your’re used to coding CSS and guess what? It’s actually fun!

I have made a few little scripts already, very basic mind you, but still I’m happy with my progress. I just can’t get over how much confidence this little library has given me already. It’s an absolute joy to use and I’m looking forward delving deeper into JQuery. John Resig and all the JQuery team, I thank you!
