Day Four of Get Fit or Die Tryin’

I only managed to do the P90x program today. Today’s workout was Cardio X and It makes you sweat an awful lot. Diet, when am I actually going to eat breakfast? and more meals? I have no idea, tomorrow.. maaaaaybe :)

All in all, I think I’m not doing to badly so far. I’m being realistic and having the odd snack or two isn’t too bad this early on. If I wasn’t trying to get into shape right now I would be down the local shop or supermarket every night and filling the basket with more unhealthy crap that makes me feel terrible after I have eaten it, so yeah not too bad at all :) .

1.5 litres consumed. Ham coleslaw lettuce scallion sandwich with a side of nachos, Veggie bugger. P90x / Cardio X Cappuccino, Ice cream cone with flake, 4 choc eclair sweets, bottle of DR Pepper.

Day Three of Get Fit or Die Tryin’

Best day so far today. I didn’t eat too much crap and sweated so much with P90x I’m not looking forward to tomorrow’s workout :) – I still didn’t start the day with breakfast, nor eat more smaller meals, but I did eat a nutritious and gorgeous salmon salad meal.

1 litre consumed. 1 Mandarin, Salmon Salad, nutrigrain bar. P90x / Core Synergistics, 30 minute walk. Some dairy milk chocs, 6 chocolate orange sweets.

Just started using P90x – Wow!

p90x-z Just a quick one to say that I have started using the P90x system today and will be integrating it into my schedule.

A quick run down on what P90x is

Px90 is a home fitness system designed to be used for 90 days. 6 days a week working out and 1 day rest or a stretching routine for 3 weeks and 1 week to relax. The course uses what’s called ‘Muscle Confusion’. By using new routines and exercising different body parts, the body doesn’t get used to a certain routine. Each new DVD has a brand new workout to keep your body guessing.

There are 3 different flavours to choose from:

  1. Classic
  2. Doubles
  3. Lean

I decided to go with Lean as this is used to lose weight as it has more cardio workouts.

I started the first DVD earlier called Core Synergistics and it hurt like hell. I didn’t think I was that out of shape, guess I was wrong!

Day Two of Get Fit or Die Tryin’

Second day in and it’s really not going so well! – My motivation seems to have gone walkabout’s and the temptation to eat crap is worsening. The beginning of this goal has to be the hardest part and I’m really feeling it.

I think why I’m eating unhealthy snacks is because I’m not starting the day with breakfast and I should really be eating more smaller meals to make me less hungry throughout the day so I won’t want to snack as much. If I keep going the way I am, I should quit right now I know!

Anywho, here are my stats for today.

1.5 litres consumed 1 Mandarin, Chicken Kiev with Veg, potato croquettes & 2 Yorkshire puds. Punch bag / 25 minutes, 30 minute walk McDonald’s McMuffin’ breakfast, A large slice of apple pie with low fat cream, some dairy milk chocs, 1 glass of coke, 1 glass of finches, 4 custard cream biscuits.

Day One of trying to get into shape – A few notes

So yesterday was supposed to be my first day trying to get into shape, yeah didn’t quite happen. Not a great start eh? Oh well, today I did and it wasn’t too bad. I did eat some cheeky snacks but did manage to workout. I bought a new heavy punch bag to replace my older one and went about 20 minutes on it, which was ok (slow and steady and all that).

Well, to push myself on a bit, here are some current pics of myself that I can hopefully look back on in a year from now:

Also, I will be adding some stats each day to keep myself focused on my goal.

Get Fit or Die Tryin’

I have been trying to get into shape for the last few months and it’s been the same. 2 or 3 days eating healthy, going to the GYM and feeling good about myself, then I fall of the wagon and starting eating crap (like the gorgeous curry posted) and not exercising. This has got to change before I wake up when I’m 40 and realise ‘Oh Shit!’.

So from tomorrow I will be starting fresh and keeping a log of my diet and exercise schedule and to see if I can get into shape within one year from now. Wish me luck!
