A bit belated on this one but better late than never eh…

I was contacted by Patrick McNeil of Design Meltdown last year to sign a waiver to possibly include a site i designed (which is now in the hands of a new owner) in a new book centered around design inspiration. Anywho, I was chuffed to be considered for inclusion and thought nothing about it, up until recently when I found out that the site was accepted!

Wow, what a rush – One of my websites in a real printed book, the feeling is pretty darned cool and I just want to say thanks to Patrick for including The Designed Tree in the book, Can’t wait to get my hands on the book when it comes out.

Sitepoint Marketplace is one of the better places to buy and sell websites among other things like domains and advertising space and a whole lot more. It is a fantastic system that is only getting better as the Sitepoint team have been working hard on adding new feature requests from customers.

One feature I always wanted and would love to see developed further is the ability for buyers to add funds into their account before they can bid on any website, I believe this will dramatically cut down on fraudulent bids. An Escrow type service would be perfect for this, so I added this idea into their feedback system and to my surprise, other people voted this idea up to 169 votes and it’s currently ranked 1st and is actually planned to happen! Another reason why Sitepoint is number one for buying and selling websites.

It just goes to show you that if you never ask, you’ll never know.
